As we welcome both our new and returning students to the upcoming academic year, our updated LibGuides include lots of information on getting started with the library or continuing using our services to support your studies.
In addition to what is available online, we are hosting a Welcome Fair in the Bill Bryson Library – the first time we’ve been able to do this since 2019! It will take place from the 26 – 30 September, 10am – 3:30pm.
As part of this, we are offering:
- An opportunity to talk to staff from across our libraries, museums and archives about our incredible collections, wonderful spaces and how our many and varied services can help and support you with your studies.
- A treasure hunt that covers several of our sites (and has prizes!)
- A mini pop-up art gallery showcasing the University’s incredible art collections
- A chance to handle fascinating objects from our museums’ collections
- A self-guided tour you can take to familiarise yourself with Bill Bryson Library
- QR codes throughout our buildings for you to scan and find out key information
- Giant Jenga and Connect 4
- Freebies 🙂
Bill Bryson Library is on Lower Mountjoy site, next to the Palatine Centre. You’ll find the entrance on Library Square, opposite the Geography building. We hope to see you there!
